Annual Community Events
One of the highlights of the year is Vadnais Heights Days, a week-long celebration that showcases the best of our community. The festival includes food, live music, a car show, a maker’s market, bingo, children’s activities, a parade, and fireworks. It’s a time when neighbors come together to celebrate the spirit of Vadnais Heights.
In addition to Vadnais Heights Days, the city sponsors several other events throughout the year, such as the Winter Shindig in January, the Ice Cream Social in June, and the Halloween Party in October. These events provide opportunities for residents to connect and create lasting memories.
Community Organizations
Our community is supported by a network of dedicated organizations. The Vadnais Heights Area Community Foundation (VHACF) is a broad-based foundation that supports various non-profits, focusing on education, arts and culture, and health and human services. Since 1990, VHACF has been issuing grants to support educational opportunities, assist neighbors in need, and enhance our community culturally.
The Vadnais Heights Lions Club Foundation is another cornerstone of our community. This all-volunteer organization manages the Vadnais Heights Community Food Program and provides services such as hearing aid and eyeglass assistance, free blood sugar and vision screenings, and support for senior and scholarship programs. They also play a significant role in community events like Vadnais Heights Days and organize their own Waffle Breakfasts in the spring and fall.
For those interested in economic development, the Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation (VHEDC) works to enhance economic growth by attracting, retaining, and expanding businesses in our area. They offer resources and guidance to local businesses and host events that bring the business community together.
